The Bearnabui hounds have a very positive impact on Irish Wolfhounds at home and
abroad. My own Carrokeel line, like many more Irish Wolfhound lines, also
benefited from the inclusion of the type and quality of the Bearnabui
blood line.

Gwyneth at five monthsGwyneth, Genevieve’s litter sister, was not shown but I bred one litter from her, by Ch Greenswell Aranz of Chapelleigh, which proved successful. I was lucky that two of this litter stayed in Ireland. I was very pleased when Ulli and Ika Peiler (Knocknarea) added Image and Irial to their breeding programme.
Two of Irial’s offspring which come to mind were Swed Ch Knocknarea Groi and Grace out of Knochnarea Eilis.

Bearnabui Image of Knocknarea was successfully campaigned in the show ring and went very close to gaining her title and no doubt would have done so were it not for her lovely daughter Ch Knocknarea Innion – ex Chulchoill Elan - having been shown at the same time. Innion was Top Winning Irish Wolfhound and Annual Champion in 1997. Ch Innion won a total of 18 Green Stars between 1996 and 1997.
A third pup from that litter, Bearnabui Tessagh of Cnoccarne, went to Emma Ross (Cnoccarne) in Canada.
